Ashley is the former CEO of Sustainable Conservation, a California nonprofit that advances the collaborative stewardship of California’s land, air, and water for the benefit of people and nature. She received a James Irvine Foundation Leadership Award for her unwavering commitment to innovative, balanced problem-solving to address a variety of critical environmental problems facing the state. Prior to Sustainable Conservation, Ashley worked for Smith & Hawken and The Nature Conservancy’s International Program. Ain addition to the Consortium’s Board, Ashley serves on the Boards of California Trout and Watershed Solutions Network as well as the University of California President’s Advisory Commission for the Division Agriculture and Natural Resources. She has a BA in human biology, an MA in applied economics, and an MBA from Stanford.
