Mitra Rogers leads Public Policy efforts on behalf of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Amazon’s cloud computing business, throughout California. As a Public Policy Manager, Mitra is responsible for leading AWS’ relationships with policymakers and advocating for policies that support the business. Before joining Amazon, she was Senior Manager of California Government and Community Relations for the Boeing Company where she represented the company before local, state and federal elected officials on legislative and regulatory issues affecting Boeing. In this role, she served as a primary point of contact between the company and business, community and elected leaders.

Mitra Rogers grew up in Long Beach, CA and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from California State University Long Beach and a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) from Loyola Marymount University. She has also completed courses at the Government Affairs Institute at Georgetown University. Mitra is an active member of the community and serves on the board of the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce, where she served as Chair of the Board and Chair of the Government Affairs Committee.

Mitra is known for her ability to navigate complex issues and bring people together for the common good. She cultivates external relationships to educate and inform stakeholders, and to ensure company interests are promoted and protected. Mitra has been named as one of Long Beach’s “40 under 40” by the Long Beach Post and she was also recognized by the Regional Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as a “Mujer Del Ano” for her positive contributions to the community. She is an alumna of both Leadership Long Beach and Leadership Southern California; programs devoted to personal responsibility, commitment, vision, and community trusteeship. After spending a few years in Washington D.C., Mitra returned to her hometown of Long Beach, where she resides with her husband and two children.
